For Volunteer Packaging, creating biodegradable packaging isn’t just a trend, it’s a moral commitment. We start sustainability at the source. Volunteer Packaging partners with certified suppliers who share our values, ensuring every fiber and adhesive we use meets strict environmental standards. Our materials are renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable; proven to perform while protecting the planet.

Once these materials make it inside our Milan facility, every process is optimized to reduce energy waste. From LED lighting and motion-sensor systems to precision machinery calibrated for minimal output, we have turned our operations into a model of efficiency. Even our production schedules are designed to reduce idle energy use and lower emissions.

Because of this nothing goes to waste at Volunteer Packaging. Scrap materials are repurposed, cardboard offcuts are recycled, and water-based inks are reclaimed whenever possible. We’ve established a closed-loop recycling system that keeps excess materials out of landfills and puts them back into production; turning yesterday’s waste into tomorrow’s resources.

Sustainability doesn’t stop at our factory doors. We invest in local environmental programs, collaborate with regional schools on recycling education, and sponsor cleanup events across Tennessee. Our goal is to lead by example; showing that sustainable business practices can strengthen both the planet and the people who call it home.
